Yes, once the models are downloaded. Recording, transcription and notes on the local model keep working with no connection. Link imports need a connection.

No bot joins the call. Session audio and notes stay on your machine. If you connect your own cloud AI key, transcript text is sent to that provider.

How it works

Hit record
Safeclip records your microphone and the call audio on your computer. No bot joins Zoom, Meet or Teams. A room microphone works too.

Stop when you are done
Whisper transcribes the recording on your device. A local model writes a summary and pull quotes. Read them against the transcript before you keep them.

Ask your library
Past meetings stay in a local library. Ask a question and the answer comes from those transcripts, on this machine.
What leaves your computer, and what doesn't.
Session audio and notes stay on your machine. They are not sent to Safeclip. If you turn on cloud Ask with your own key, the question and the passages it found go to that provider. Here is the short list.

Does it work offline?
Do other people on the call get told?
No. Safeclip does not join as a participant, so the call app does not announce a recorder. People will not know unless you tell them, or unless they see Safeclip on a screen you share. Tell them. In many places the law requires it.
